Nvidia system tray icon is always visible

I found this fix on reddit, many thanks to user Valour-549 for this information.

Create a DWORD named “StartOnLogin” and set it to 0 at this location:

1

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\NvTray

and also a this location, you may need to create the NvTray key:

1

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\nvlddmkm\NvTray
